Every day, 320 children under age five are lost to preventable and treatable diseases, such as malaria, respiratory infections and diarrhea.

Kubatsirana employs holistic approaches to reduce the spread of HIV & AIDS among vulnerable populations including children, youth and women

Kubatsirana is involved in multi-level advocacy to influence issues and policy related to HIV & AIDS

Open Centers: 

Kubatsirana has four established open centers in Chimoio namely Batsirai Nherera, Messagem de Deus, Emanuel and MISAU UNIDA. There are eight others in the process of being established. The established centers provide day care for 667 orphans (303 girls and 364 boys). The centers also provide food, enroll them into schools and receive various vocational training and life skills including carpentry, sewing, micro business and agriculture (poultry, animal husbandry and crop farming). The extremely vulnerable orphans receive temporary shelter pending reintegration within the communities or alternative security such as foster home.

 

 Major challenges:

·         Capacity building (technical,  infrastructural); and

·         Sustainability.

    • FAO (agricultural training).
