Livelihoods: Each of Kubatsirana’s programs has a livelihood component and partly funded by various partners. The following livelihood projects are being done by volunteers, youths and PLWHA: · Horticulture (home gardens) · Poultry · Crop farming · Fish farming · Natural medicine processing (syrup, lotion and herbs) · Sewing · Pottery · Tie and dye · AIDS badges (logos) · Stone craft · Wooden craft · Paintings · Weaving (mats) · Crocheting · Micro businesses (barber, grocery).
Major challenges: o Lack of funding for training on business strategy and how to develop and/or improve micro enterprises; o Seed money to establish a revolving fund for micro credit, procurement of equipment and farm inputs; o Access to land and entitlements for OVCs, widows and child-headed households. Funding is included within the various programs.
